To ensure a smooth transfer, do not cancel your existing service until your number has been fully ported to UpCentral. Disconnected numbers cannot be transferred.
Once your port request is processed, UpCentral will provide you with a port completion date (sometimes called a Firm Order Commitment or FOC date). We recommend waiting a couple of days after the transfer is complete before reaching out to your current provider to cancel your service.
This helps avoid any disruptions and ensures your number remains active throughout the transition.
